ROGIN-E UPDATE!

ENDORSEMENTS. ENDORSEMENTS... and More...
Okidoki. This is it. The Rogin-E Challenge ends this month and I have maintained my somewhat "ideal" weight of 168 pounds. So from a high of 200ish pounds a year or so ago below, I took off 30 pounds from my heaviest moment.

Yeah, I know, I still need a bit more to go, and I hit a low of 165 a month ago, but due to my really hectic schedule this past month (and I mean HECTIC), I haven't found enough time to sleep, much less work out as much as I should. Not to mention, when the hectic times hit, I hit the San Miguel Pale. So because of that, I still seem to be hovering around 168-170 ish pounds. But now that this endorsement is over, check out the other free samples I got yesterday.

A foundation called ProHAIR (which helps folks with Male Pattern Balding) gave me some free samples of Finasteride (aka Propecia) to try out after I attended their website launch event at the Mandarin Oriental. I'm still wondering why they gave it to me.

I'm not balding.

Hmmm. I just took some for the last three days. Has anybody out there tried this stuff? Does it work?

Thanks Manila Style for the picture of the fat me.

Dear Carlos,

First, you may have a high hairline but you're not balding. There are men for whom baldness or a high hairline becomes them. It's a good sign of wisdom. Para sa mga kalbo (tulad ko) basta'y panatilihin lamang na walang taghiyawat at malinis ang bumbunan, okay na. :-)

Second, I kinda miss the 30 lbs. you removed from your girth. I will never argue if its removal is for health and well-being reasons. Goodness, this country needs more healthier Pinoys. It's just that, well, the drawing I made of you when you were heftier... it'll be just that - a facsimile of the past.

Third, and for this one kakapalan ko na mukha ko. I am in a sort of a fix and i would like to ask for help.

Do you, or anyone else out there have a good, crisp picture of the UP OBLATION in close-up - (high, resolution, preferably TIFF format, 1.2 mb up) that I can use? (the more "CLOSE-UP" shot of the oble, the better. As in, yung "halos nakatutok na yung lente sa ilong ni oble" type of a shot)

As part of the UP Centennial celebrations, I am designing the cover of the 100 YEAR HISTORY OF the U.P. MANILA. I am doing this as a pro bono project for the university and as such, there is no remuneration for the picture to be used EXCEPT to properly credit the photographer on the acknowledgement and cover flap. Also, the use of the photograph selected will most definitely be extended on the advertisement and promotional materials of the book (yun eh, kung may budget pa ang UP i-promote.)

Here's the hitch... I have to finalize the cover design by JUNE 14th, so the deadline would be around same day. Hehehe, kung larong patintero ito, matatawag nating "kulto finish".

They can have the image sent to my addie at dtayona@gmail.com

Again, this is entirely a pro bono project.

Thank you so much,
From a whacked-out artist
